The awards, totaling €300,000, recognize initiatives to promote equality in sport. Andalusia, Asturias (two), Canary Islands, Galicia and the Basque Country are the winning projects.

The Municipal Council of Siero received the Iberdrola Supera Diffusion Award for raising the profile of sports played by women; The North Gran Canaria Diving Center, with its Sea of ​​Possibilities project, received the Inclusion Award due to its work on the inclusion of people with special abilities; and Patín Gijón Solimar was awarded in the Innovation category for its idea to improve sports practices through technology.

Presented by Nico Abad and Margarita Alvarez, the event featured performances by karateka Sandra Sanchez, Olympic champion, two-time world champion and seven-time European champion Aldara Flores and poet Andrea Valbuena.

Manu Carreño and Marta Arce were in charge of the continuation of the awards, presenting the Iberdrola Supera Social Award to the EMET Foundation for its project “Sport as therapy for vulnerable women”, which praises the assistance in the integration of women through sports practice.

The fourth edition of Iberdrola Supera awarded the basic category to CD Guretxoko for its work in promoting grassroots sport among girls, improving health and inclusion. The latest discipline to be awarded was the Iberdrola Supera Competción, which recognizes and supports the participation of women in competition, and was awarded to the Caños Balonman Club, which represents the strength of women’s sports in rural areas.
