The charismatic and seasoned sports journalist Alfonso Azuara passed away this Thursday at the age of 70. “Alfonso Azuara, a model of journalistic race and wild honesty, has passed away. Thank you for loving me and teaching me a lot,” said colleague and professional friend José Ramón de la Morena.

The information professional will always be remembered for his big fights with football players and coaches. The confrontation with Luis Aragones, when he was the coach of the national team, will remain in memory.

At the time, the coach and journalist had accused each other of several previous episodes and were branded as “liars” and “cowards”. The journalist has passed through the newsrooms of Cadena Ser, Onda Cero, RTVE being loved by all the channels he has passed through on his professional stage.
