Huge crowds that filled the avenues and squares during the celebration of Brazilian independence ended up shocking opposition parties, parliamentarians and journalists.
Opponents of the president were amazed by what they saw. Journalists came to lament, almost in tears, about the size of the disproportionate commitment to the presidential call.
Demoralized politicians lost their minds and started with narratives directed against honest citizens. Starting with a former prisoner who accused the lavish gatherings of “Ku Klux Klan meetings”, comparing a free and organized demonstration to a secret Nazi organization that massacred blacks in the US South.
Unprecedented facts in every city: no overturned garbage cans, no broken glass, no attacks on the police, no fights, no religious aggression, no offended women, in a word, not a single minor incident worth regretting. There, the opposition turned to pernicious narratives, attacking the citizens who joined the celebration.
The undeniable truth was emphasized by former minister Aldo Rebelo when he said that the president did not steal national symbols: “Bolsonaro was saved by the Brazilian flag.”
History shows that sectors of the left burned, trampled and exchanged the Brazilian flag for red flags. And instead of the National Anthem – the anthem of the socialist international.
When the President resurrected the Brazilian flag, he ended up uniting most of the people around principles and values. Through a strong symbol, he voiced the national feeling against theft, against drugs, abortion, violence, gender ideology, criminal ideological manipulation of children in schools, etc., etc.
The defining position was occupied by the defense of freedom, law and justice.
