Simone Nassar Tebet was born in Tres Lagoas, Mississippi on February 22, 1970. Now she is 52 years old. She graduated in Law from the UFRJ (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro) and holds a Master of Public Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP), working as a lawyer and professor.
Member of the BDD (Brazilian Democratic Movement) since 1997, she is currently a senator in the legislature.

During her professional career, she was a university professor for 12 years, starting in 1992.
He has taught at the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul, Dom Bosco Catholic University, Pantanal State and Regional Development University and the Integrated Colleges of Campo Grande.
She worked as a technical and legal consultant (1995-1997) and then became director of technical and legislative affairs (1997-2001) in the Legislative Assembly of the State of Mato Grosso do Sul.

Tebet’s political career began as a state deputy elected in 2002, and two years later she won the mayoral election of Tres Lagoas (MS), a position she held and won re-election in 2008.
According to the Research Institute of Mato Grosso do Sul (Ipems), in 2006 he was ranked eighth in the ranking of the best mayors of the state.
An opinion poll showed that Tebet ranked eighth among the top 30 municipal administrations of the hinterland of Mato Grosso do Sul with an approval of 86.33%.
A year earlier, Simone Tebet was in 25th place with 69.05% by all accounts. The Ipems/PH/FM poll was registered with the Regional Electoral Court (TRE/MS) under number 014/2006.

Emedebista since 1997, after her experience as deputy and re-elected mayor of Tres Lagoas, Tebet left the municipal executive in 2010 to run for the vice government of Mato Grosso do Sul on the ticket of Andre Puccinelli.
Tebet took over as Deputy Governor of Mato Grosso do Sul in January 2011.
She made her way to the Senate and ran for the only contested seat in the 2014 election, which she won and currently holds.
CPI Covid
One of the recent highlights in Simone Tebet’s journey was her performance at Covid CPI when she was part of a group that opposed President Jair Bolsonaro over government actions during the coronavirus pandemic.
