PDT candidate for President of the Republic, Ciro Gomez, said he had a “heartache” after singer Anitta voted for former President Luiz Inácio Lulu da Silva (PT) in this year’s elections.

Gomez went on to say that he respects the singer’s choice. “The gang continues to attack, they have the right to choose who they want, the goddess is who she is,” he said.

Despite this, he snapped at the artist when he said Anitta would have declared her vote for Lulu so she wouldn’t be “cancelled”.

Ciro Gomez has already ruled out supporting Lula in the second round. “If I go to the second round with Bolsonaro, of course I need Lula’s support. The opposite (supporting Lula) is no longer appropriate.”
