A photo shared on social media of Urusanga Mayor Luis Gustavo Cansille of PP in a game between Crisiuma and Vasco last Saturday is causing controversy. The reason is that at the same time Urusang hosted the start of the 1st Sunset Wine Race, an event organized by the City Hall in partnership with the CDL.
The event started at 10:00 am with music in the square and delivery of kits to the participants, but the race started at 4:00 pm, the same time as the game in Crisium. The absence of the mayor, who is a defendant in a federal lawsuit charged with violations of the paving of the streets, leaves the impression that it may be difficult for him to appear in public in the city.
On the other hand, Deputy Mayor Jair Nandi of PSD attended the event, which was attended by over 400 athletes. Also in attendance were Mayor Beto Cabeludo of the MDB, Fabiano de Bona of the PSDB and Louane Varnier of the MDB, as well as CDL President Leonardo Felippe and former sporting director Erica Nicolet.
