In a post on social media, Apapre shared the joy of adoption, saying, “Our hearts are filled with happiness today! The wolf has found a home where there will be no shortage of love and respect.” Although the dog was weakened and unable to walk, the association expressed optimism about Lobo’s recovery, emphasizing that love plays a fundamental role in healing.
Thanking Morgana for her generosity, the association emphasized the importance of everyone involved in the puppy’s recovery: “A big thank you to everyone who contributed to Wolf’s recovery. Without you, our work becomes impossible. Go, Wolf. Go be happy! You have the right to know love! Go, warrior.
Dog buried alive
Lobo’s story touched the local community when a tip on the morning of November 28 led Apapre volunteers to the site where the animal was “buried, covered with rubbish and grass to camouflage it.” After the rescue, Lobo was taken to a veterinary clinic where his condition was assessed.

Apapre’s director of public relations, Fabricio Merisme, described the situation as follows: “We found burns on the paws, an infection in the eyes, paralysis of the hind limbs, below ideal weight and a large lymph node in the neck.” Lobo is believed to be around 15 years old, reflecting the sad scenario of older dog abandonment across the country.
A tutor who had problems with alcoholism was arrested
Lobo was lucky to be rescued because people in the region were already aware of the abuse he suffered at the hands of his guardian, a 58-year-old man. “We already knew the owner and the difficult situation due to alcoholism,” Merism said, emphasizing that the local community helped the animal with food and water.
At the end of this story, the tutor was arrested and taken to the police station. Apapre stressed that similar situations occur across the country, stressing the importance of combating animal abandonment, especially the most vulnerable such as the elderly.
