Dog PM from the 10th BPM (10th Military Police Battalion) serving the city of Blumenau has retired after 10 years of helping fight crime in Santa Catarina.
The German Shepherd known as K9 Apollo arrived at the battalion at just 45 days old.
From 2013 to this year, Apollo helped arrest more than 234 people and confiscate more than 110 kilograms of drugs, as well as firearms.
According to tradition, animals who retire from the police are greeted by the officers themselves, as was the case with the dog PM Apollo.
According to the 10th BPM, the animal will be under the responsibility of one of the garrison nursery employees.
In a video posted on military police social media, officers officially bid farewell to the aumigos and thank them for the services provided by the dog PM.
K9 seems to understand and even smiles at the greetings from his former colleagues. In the comments of the publication, many subscribers spoke about the furry’s journey.
“Have a nice rest, Apollo!”
“To faithful K9 Apollo we offer our eternal gratitude. Their brave paws leave a trace of courage and safety in our memories.”– said another profile.
