A crocodile measuring about 3 meters and weighing 200 kg lived in the sewers of the city of Guadalupe Victoria, located in Mexico. Workers were shocked to find the animal at the scene.
Judging by the page X (formerly Twitter) Tam RevealedSewage company employees were investigating a clog affecting the city when they heard a persistent noise.
The noise was reminiscent of an animal beating its tail underneath them. They soon became afraid, but after a short investigation they found a giant reptile in the gallery.
Crocodile effects in place
The sewer company said the reptile reduced the city’s water use by 70%.
After the animal was discovered, forestry officials were called to the rescue. They took the crocodile to the jungle near the sewer.
“He has been transferred to his natural habitat and is doing well,” local authorities said in a statement.
