An emotional moment was the return home of a Shih Tzu dog whose legs were amputated after being attacked by a pit bull in Samambaya, Federal District. Dayana, as she is called, was discharged from the veterinarian and returned to her owners this Thursday (28).
Last Sunday (24), Diana was attacked by two neighbors’ pit bulls through the bars of the house where she was staying. She even had to undergo a blood transfusion due to blood loss caused by her injuries.

He even used a broom to try to save the dog. However, the dogs only released the Shih Tzu when the neighbor hit them with an iron rod. Both animals ran away and the Shih Tzu was rushed to the vet.

Diana was left with serious injuries after the attack and had to undergo surgery to have her paws, which had already been partially torn off, amputated. At the clinic, she was prescribed morphine for pain and given a blood transfusion. Now the veterinarian is assessing the dynamics of the animal’s health, which continues to be monitored.

Pit bulls would run away
To the DF Civil Police, the owner of the dogs that attacked the dog stated that the animals escaped early in the morning. The man claims this was the first time pit bulls have escaped from their home and has promised to pay Diane’s veterinary expenses.
A case has been registered at the 26th police station and is being investigated as failure to maintain and manage animals with care.
