A hungry bear was spotted on a picnic table in the Chipinque Ecological Park, in the Mexican city of San Pedro Garza Garcia. The images show the animal devouring a family dinner.
Throughout the action, a paralyzed woman and a small boy can be seen fleeing a possible bear attack. According to information from the R7 Portal.
According to the Daily Mail tabloid, the state of Nuevo Leon, where the park in question is located, is home to at least 38 bears of this species, popularly called the black bear. According to Mexico’s Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, the animal is endangered.
Authorities have posted posters throughout the region warning of the predators’ presence. They ask visitors to avoid any approach, keep food away from them and not leave litter along the way to avoid attracting them.
