A yellow anaconda with skin painted to look like a jaguar captivated the internet with its size and “acrobatics show.” She stood leaning against the roots of a tree, all “bent”, and her size and turns attracted attention.
This type of anaconda, the yellow one, is usually smaller than the green anaconda. Despite this, the size of the snake shocked people on social media. “Giant,” one person called.
The video was filmed by naturalist guide Larissa in the gardens of the Hotel do Jamil in the Pantanal of Mato Grosso.
On the official Pantanal profile, the video has more than 100 thousand views. “The most beautiful anaconda species in Brazil,” a follower commented.

More about the yellow anaconda
The yellow anaconda is a snake native to South America and is typically smaller than the green anaconda, reaching up to 4.4 meters in length. Like other anacondas, it is non-venomous and kills prey by constriction and suffocation. This snake feeds on birds, eggs, fish, reptiles, small mammals, even alligators, deer and capybaras.
Three species of anacondas, also known as anacondas, can be found in Brazil, explains the Butantan Institute. Among them is the green anaconda, which appears in the video. It is the largest of the anaconda species, found in several states, inhabiting the Amazon, Cerrado and parts of the Atlantic Forest.
The others are the spotted anaconda, which lives on the island of Marajo, in the regions of Pará and Amapa; the yellow anaconda or pantanal anaconda, which can be seen mainly in areas of this biome, as well as in parts of the Cerrado, Atlantic Forest and Pampa.
