Described as a rare and valuable animal, the aardvark or anteater is a sort of mixture of an armadillo and an anteater. This unusual animal, capable of digging large galleries underground, where it usually lives, comes from Africa.
It looks like an anteater, acts like an armadillo and is called a pig.
Although Jimbo is named after a pig, Jimbo, as it is also called in African regions, has large claws capable of digging “burrows” in which the animal lives on the ground. It can reach about 70 cm in height and weigh up to 60 kg.
Biologist Sergio Pinheiro confirms the information and clarifies: “he has nothing to do with pork.” Pinheiro also notes that Jimbo is a precious “armadillo tamandua” and that he is successfully bred in some zoos around the world.
