As they were returning home, the animal attacked Bhanuben and dragged her into the forest. Upon learning of the attack, forestry officials launched a search, ”the Indian Forest Service said.
The team scans to find the lion
The woman’s body was found on Monday morning (24). “The lions use this forest as a corridor to get from one place to another. They don’t live here. Our team is scanning the entire region to find the animal,” the official said.
Curiosities about the “king of the forest”
Lions belong to the cat family and are second only to tigers in terms of size. They are the only big cats that are considered social animals, with African lions being especially sociable. These majestic animals enjoy being in each other’s company, expressing their affection through play, licking and purring, and enjoy sleeping next to each other.
In a pride, lionesses take on most of the responsibilities. They are responsible for hunting, night watching, group leadership and protection of young. Although they play a key role in several areas, priority during feeding goes to the male who eats first. Only after he is full, you can feed the lionesses and cubs.
