A video showing two coral-like snakes intertwining in a collision has attracted attention in Iraseminha, west of Santa Catarina. The case was recounted by biologist Jackson Preis who explained the behavior.
In the video, you can see two snakes coiled up, an image similar to mating. However, in this case, a fight broke out between the two men.
According to Jackson, the pictures show that the males are constantly trying to push the opponent’s head down. This phenomenon seeks to demonstrate dominance between animals of a species.
This behavior has already been documented by local scientists and can be identified in other snakes of the Micrurus genus.

Venomous Serpent:
Considered one of the most venomous snakes in Brazil, the venom of a real coral directly affects the nervous system. If a person has been stung, the first symptoms are numbness in that area, blurred vision, and difficulty speaking.
Gradually, the poison begins to affect the rest of the nervous system, causing paralysis of important muscles such as the heart and diaphragm.
Despite all this danger, true coral is very shy and lives hidden among the undergrowth, burrows in the ground and under rocks.
