Applications must be submitted via WhatsApp at (47) 99983-5657 through the PMB Dog and Cat Neutering Program.
According to the municipality of Blumenau, the municipality’s permanent castration service is for NGOs, registered independent advocates, and low-income families registered with CadUnico (Cadastro Único).
“It was a very old request from the city, especially at the request of the defenders. This is an area to which we have a special attachment and which, as we have always said, will be given attention in management,” emphasizes Deputy Mayor of Blumenau Maria Regina de Souza Soar.
Microchips will be distributed during the sterilization campaign
Since December 2022, microchips have been implanted in pets, resulting in 9,297 pets to date.
The microchip is a form of identification adopted by the municipality of Blumenau in order to minimize the number of animals abandoned in the municipality. Thus, the animal will have the name of the owner, with easy access to identification.
