Zoe, a Labrador/German Shepherd mix, has set the world record for the longest tongue ever recorded from a living dog. Zoe, who lives with her tutors in Methary, Louisiana, in the US, has entered the Guinness Book of Records, the book of world records.
Zoe’s tongue is 12.7 cm long – longer than a can of soda, for example – exceeding the 9.49 cm tongue of the previous record holder, dog Bisbee, who was on the list for only three months.
Zoe’s dog holds the record for the longest tongue in the world.
Sadie and Drew Williams, Zoe’s caregivers, told Guinness they thought it was normal for the dog’s tongue to grow, but as time went on, people started commenting on how big she had become.
“A few months ago, we entered Zoe in the Guinness Book of World Records as the record for the “longest tongue in a living dog.” In March, we were notified that Zoe was approved as a record holder, and this week the official certificate came in the mail. Long live Zoe and her world record in language, ”the tutors wrote in an Instagram post.
