The dolphin was seen playing in the Praia Central de Balnéário Camboriú, on the north coast of Santa Catarina, last Sunday (14). Mayor Fabrizio Oliveira (PL) posted a video taken by a resident on Instagram.

Andre Neto, a biologist at the Ocean Aquarium, said the dolphins may be visiting coastal areas, especially now that it is mullet fishing season, as they are also looking for food.

Marine biologist and professor of biology and oceanography courses at Univali André Silva Barreto added that the animal in the video could be a dolphin mullet (Tursiops gephyreus), which is of very coastal origin and usually appears here.
