At around 2:00 pm this Wednesday (22), a complaint about the mistreatment of a boxer dog mobilized the animal protection team of the city hall of Rio do Sul in Alto Vale do Itajaí and the military police of the city. At the site, the brigades revealed the difficult situation of the place and provided assistance to the animal.

According to the report of the PM (military police), the animal was very thin, with worms in the head, popularly known as “bicheira”, and weakened. Your water pot will be dirty, your food will be rotten and there will be ants in the container.

The dog was taken to a veterinary clinic under the supervision of the city’s animal protection service. The owner of the animal, a 40-year-old woman, was detained by the military police and taken to the police station for clarification.
