Have you ever imagined that you are walking down the street and you meet a snake next to you? A venomous viper decided to “walk” along a busy street in Pomerode, in the Itajai Valley, and scared pedestrians this Monday morning (13).
Pomerode volunteer firefighters were called in to catch the animal. After rescuing about 80 cm snake, the animal was returned to nature in a forest area away from any habitation.

Hararaka is responsible for 70% of snake accidents in the country, according to the Ministry of Health. The snake can be found in humid environments such as rivers, streams, and ponds.
Considered very dangerous, most of the time the yararak prepares the boat whenever someone approaches. Your boat can reach the same dimensions as its length, which reaches up to 1.6 m.
