An Australian family was surprised by a nest with 110 snake eggs in their backyard. It all started with an episode with the youngest member of the family: a two-year-old boy was chasing a brown snake, considered the deadliest snake in Australia.

This is not the first time snakes have surprised residents. About 10 baby snakes were rescued from a backyard a month ago, according to Wild Conservation.
In the second case, the child’s parents called Wild Conservation, an NGO that saves wild animals, to find out what was going on.
“Following excavations, we found 110 brown snake eggs from several females and left them in place for many years, possibly indicating an annual nest,” the NGO said in a Facebook post.
While surveying the family’s land, the NGO found another snake slithering across the slab.
“Larger snakes may feed on newborns or roam the area. They had dull eyes and rough skin, probably due to an overabundance of food – there were frogs, lizards and young snakes everywhere.
A new supervision was appointed for the next few days.
