Dinner time? This Monday (13) in Jaragua do Sul, north of Santa Catarina, a sleeping snake was found curled up in a restaurant chair. Biologist Christian Raboche was called in to safely rescue the snake.
According to the specialist, the sleeping man was found in the morning, before the opening of the restaurant. The species is common in the region and is commonly found in more urban areas, but prefers places with high humidity, he said.
The sleeping snake is commonly confused with the viper due to similarities, but it is not venomous.
Dormouse is a small ground snake that is nocturnal. It feeds on slugs and snails, so it can often be found in vegetable gardens and plantations where these small invertebrates are common, according to the Bhutantan Institute.
After the rescue, the biologist returned the animal to its natural habitat.
