Children often get head lice when they go to school, but what happened to 9-year-old Bernardo surprised netizens and even “unblocked” a new fear on social media. The video posted by the boy’s mother, Renata Gular, on her TikTok profile this Sunday (12) has already received more than 10 million views and shows the moment she removes a larva from the child’s head with tweezers.
The video begins with an image of Bernardo with a small hole in his head, right in his scalp, followed by a bandage and then a piece of bacon over the hole.
After leaving the bacon on Bernardo’s head for two hours, the mother begins to pull out the parasite. At this moment, the boy screams in pain: “It hurts, it hurts.” At one point, he even asks his grandmother to hold his hand when the maggot, known as maggots, is finally removed.
Among the comments on the video, many users reported “injury” after recording it. “I’m afraid that my head even itched. I will no longer sleep in fear of this, ”wrote one of them. Another commented: “In your head? After that, I would have a thousand paranoias.”
“Bernardo is screaming, Bern is running away, the little baby is crying and the mother is going crazy. I love the Brazilian family. lol,” another commented. Those who are already familiar with the practice know that this is one of the home remedies for dealing with the gadfly, a parasitic manifestation of screwworm larvae.
