The day of fishing brings its own surprises, but nothing like the one that the three fishermen from Espirito Santo encountered. Accustomed to swimming towards stone islands a few hundred meters from the beach, they were eventually taken by surprise by moray eels – or karamura. The fish fell into a trap, hiding in a puddle formed after low tide.
Realizing the presence of the animal, one of them baited a fish head to try and attract the prey. But the fright was great when they saw the size of the moray eel.
Moray more than expected
“Look at the size of this karamura, people! He’s going up!! Get out of there, Ailton,” the fisherman warned one of his companions, who got closer than he should have.
After all life goes on. After filming, the fishermen left the fish where they were until a new tide swept them away.
