An impressive footage shows a violent fight between a jaguar and an anaconda in the Encontro das Águas State Park between the municipalities of Poconé and Barão de Melegaço, in the Pantanal of Mato Grosso. The production was filmed by tourist guide Branco Arruda.
The snake is considered the second largest on the planet and is also known as the anaconda. The jaguar is the third largest feline in the world. The match ended without a winner, but the scenes went viral and attracted attention.
In a video posted on Branco’s Instagram, a jaguar appears on the banks of a river, and as he walks through the water, he comes face to face with an anaconda. The struggle for survival shows the charm of the animal world.
The jaguar attacks the anaconda, catches it in its mouth and shakes it from side to side. For a few moments, the anaconda escapes from the claws of the jaguar, but then it finds itself between the teeth of the feline, which also holds it in the water with its paws. The fight ends without a winner.
“A female jaguar was looking for prey on the banks of the Tres Irmouche, an anaconda descends from nowhere, she goes to the anaconda and starts a fight, but this time the anaconda manages to escape the jaguar,” the guide wrote.
