The very cute record caught attention during the celebration of Corpus Christi in Casadora, in the Midwest of Santa Catarina. The street mongrel simply lay down and took a nap on one of the carpets prepared for the procession and celebration this Thursday (16).
In the photo, the puppy sleeps peacefully on the warm sawdust of one of the rugs. Approximately 3,500 people took part in the procession and mass that passed along the sections of Avenida Rio Branco and Rua Conselheiro Mafra and Rua Sete de Setembro, which passes in front of the cathedral.
“The little dog lay there until the middle of the celebration. There were two other people besides him. We welcome people on this special day and together with animals. The little dog slept peacefully among the people. A special moment for everyone,” Father Wilson said.
According to the priest, five rugs were made, one at the place of celebration, another in front of the Cathedral, as well as three more with stops for reflection: the first with the thematic bell of the bishops, the second in memory of the 50th anniversary of one of the parishes of Casador, and the third with the theme of peace, inspired by all on the model of St. Francis of Assisi.
Colored sawdust, natural sawdust, coffee powder, white powder, lime, flour, as well as colored paper, painted egg trays and bottle caps served as the material for creating the rugs.
