A customer found a gecko corpse in a glass of soda offered by a fast food chain. The case took place last week in Ahmedabad, India. The establishment was fined the equivalent of 6,300 reais by the health authorities.

The restaurant’s management said they were investigating the incident and said they were committed to the quality of the food on offer and the hygiene of the premises, according to the India.com website.
The customer, identified as Bhargav Joshi, said the canteen manager offered him the money he spent on the snack (about R$19) but had to wait more than four hours for him to serve it.

In May, a customer of the same chain in South Africa said he found a small frog in a sandwich at a branch in Secunda, Mpumalanga province.
