This Sunday, a 53-year-old man suddenly fell ill on a plane flying from Porto Alegre to Rio de Janeiro (17). Due to the current situation, as reported by the CBMSC (Military Fire Service of Santa Catarina), the plane had to make an emergency landing in Florianopolis.

A passenger suddenly fell ill during a flight

The CBMSC (Santa Catarina Military Fire Service) crew was called at 18:20 after information that a passenger had suddenly become ill during the flight and needed urgent medical attention.

According to the CBMSC bulletin, an air rescue team was sent to Florianópolis International Airport as part of the “Arcanjo-01” unit.

As soon as firefighters arrived on the scene, airport fire safety personnel were already providing first aid while on the plane.

Firefighters then began treating the victim of the sudden illness and identified complications and suspected stroke.

After the patient’s condition was stabilized, the 53-year-old man was transported to the helipad on Avenida Beira Mar Norte and then taken by ambulance to HGCR (Hospital Governor Celso Ramos).
