Successful cattle breeder
Ricardo Lago Zacher was a pastoralist and owned rural property in the Aquidauana region, located 138 km from Campo Grande. Apart from his livestock farming activities, he has also been involved in the real estate business, as evidenced by his social media.
Online, friends and family wrote that Zacher’s death was a “great loss and tragedy for everyone.”
How can you suffocate?
According to the Department of Health, choking occurs when a piece of food, liquid or other object gets stuck in the throat or airway, preventing a person from breathing normally.
This can happen if a person doesn’t chew food well, tries to swallow large pieces, or swallows quickly.
When something gets stuck, it blocks the passage of air, which can lead to a lack of oxygen. The body reacts automatically by trying to push the object out, and this is what we call the gag reflex.
If a person is unable to cough or breathe, the situation can become serious.
It is important to know that in some cases a person can relieve choking by coughing vigorously. However, if you cannot do this, it is very important to seek help immediately.
In severe cases, lack of oxygen can cause loss of consciousness and, if not treated quickly, can lead to serious harm or even death.
Therefore, it is important to act quickly by calling emergency services and attempting first aid maneuvers such as the Heimlich maneuver if you know how to do it.
