More than R$500,000 was invested in the Camboriu Surgical Hospital on the northern coast of Santa Catarina to purchase new equipment for video surgery. The technology allows for less invasive procedures.
Once acquired, doctors are trained to perform surgeries via video.
A video tower for operations has already been purchased and other new materials are in the process of being acquired, according to Chief Camboriu. Therefore, before starting operations, you must wait until all the equipment is working.
In addition, doctors at the surgical hospital undergo special training to work with new equipment. Video surgery allows for a minimally invasive and much safer approach, resulting in a faster recovery.
Additionally, this technique results in less postoperative pain, better aesthetic results, faster patient recovery, shorter hospital stays, and less risk of infections.
In this way, new types of operations that were previously only possible through the open method also become available through the video tower.
