A fundraising campaign to renovate 130 beds at the Unit of the United Health System (SUS) at the Azambuja Hospital in Brusca, Vale do Itajaí raised almost 4 million reais in two weeks.
Donations were made by 50 businessmen from Brusca and the region after the mobilization of the owner of Havana, Luciano Hanga, along with businessman Ingo Fischer, Nelio’s father Roberto Schavanque, and the board of directors of the Azambuja Hospital.
The collected amount will be used to renovate the wards, ancillary facilities such as the corridor, first-aid post, bathrooms and other sectors of the hospital block.

“We can only thank you for the success of this campaign, which proves the union of entrepreneurs from Brusca and the region. Now we will have a real transformation of the hospital. This is equally for the entire population, with better service for SUS,” said Luciano Hang.
The amount collected was divided into acquisition quotas: Bronze worth R$30,000, Silver for R$60,000 and Gold for R$90,000. The names of the businessmen who joined the campaign will be posted on the wall of the refurbished beds.
“The only door that doesn’t close is the hospital. Therefore, offering a place and quality service should be a priority. Many thanks to everyone who looked at our organization with love and contributed to this work,” Father Nelio added.
