Federal Deputy Ana Paula Lima (PT-SC) announced the transfer of 1.5 million reais to the hospitals of Santo António and Santa Isabel de Blumenau in the Itajaí Valley. The Ministry of Health was allocated resources based on care and medication priorities in the region.
The investment will help meet the needs of users receiving care through the SUS (Unified Health System). This Thursday afternoon (29), the parliamentarian met with the board of the Santo Antonio Hospital to formalize the sending of funds and discuss other issues related to public health. Declared values will be split as follows:
- 1 million reais for the Santo Antonio Hospital;
- 500,000 reais for the Santa Isabel Hospital.
“We are very pleased with this achievement and with the support of the Ministry of Health in meeting our request and allocating funds to the Blumenau community, as we recognize the high demand and complexity of the services offered. As a nurse by profession and a resident of the city with many years of experience, I am committed to the health and quality of life of our people,” the deputy noted.
Other investments in UK
In the first months of this year, according to the advice of a deputy, the federal government allocated 113 million reais to charity hospitals and kidney clinics in Santa Catarina. In addition to these sums, 4.4 million reais were invested in oral health in the state, and 224 vacancies were opened for specialists under the Mais Médicos program. Of these vacancies, eight contemplate the city of Blumenau.
