The immunizer can be given to those who are infected or not, unlike the other vaccine that was previously available in Brazil, which could only be given to patients who already had the disease. The immunizer was released for individuals aged 4 to 60 years. The vaccination schedule includes two subcutaneous doses with an interval between them of three months.

The vaccine is already available in at least two clinics, namely Clínica Livon and Aunt Juli. In the first establishment, the dose is available from 425 reais per dose. In the second clinic, it can be found from 480 reais for a dose or 900 reais for two doses.

Salutare will also administer the dengue vaccine. The vaccine will arrive next week and two doses should cost about 900 reais.

Drogaria Catarinense will also provide an immunizer. The product is supposed to cost around $370 per dose, but there are still no stocks of the immunizer online. There is no information about the expected arrival of the vaccine.

Regarding the differences in prices for immunization, ABCVAC (Brazilian Association of Vaccine Clinics) explains that there is a difference between the cost set by the CMED (Medicine Market Regulatory Chamber), which refers to the actual costs that are used to provide the immunization service.

From that point on, taxes are added, where the rate differs from state to state, plus all the transaction value of the service, such as screening, review of the vaccination booklet, guidance before and after vaccination, in addition to all the support that patients need. Therefore, ABCVAC cannot indicate the final value.

Vaccine in the USA

Daniel Ramos from the Health and Environment Secretariat of the Ministry of Health said in early June at a meeting in the Chamber of Deputies that the forecast for the inclusion of the immunizer in the EOS (Unified Health System) is approximately a year and a half years. half .

“Because of the procedures for importing the first batch, as well as for the introduction of this technology in Bio-manguinhos and Fiocruz in order to be able to produce in Brazil,” specifies the coordinator.

According to the City of Joinville, the vaccine will be sourced by SUS Joinville based on specifications and a submission from the Department of Health.
