Brazilian actress Marcella Maya had to undergo emergency surgery after she found industrial silicone on her face. “I almost died,” says the artist. She had a tumor on her face caused by the presence of a poisonous product.

“Industrial silicone, I didn’t know I had it on my face. I worked in a company, in a modeling agency, and I accepted an offer from the clinic to apply acid here and make the face more asymmetrical. Everything, I was very small, at first they told me that it was hyaluronic acid, but they deceived me. After 13 years, I found out that this is industrial silicone. It’s a risk,” Maya said in the video.

She said that a benign tumor had formed on her face due to industrial silicone in the area between her nose and eyes. As a result, she learned that the substance had got on her face and she needed urgent surgery.

“I almost died, I had to remove a giant tumor from here. There was a giant lump in my eye, I almost went blind. I almost lost my biggest work tool and what I love to do. Be careful,” he concluded.

Anvisa prohibits the use of this type of silicone.

Anvisa (National Health Surveillance Agency) prohibits the use of industrial silicone in aesthetic procedures. The product is intended for cleaning car and aircraft parts, waterproofing tiles, sealing glass and other purposes.

According to Anvisa, the so-called industrial silicone, which has an oily appearance, when injected into the body can cause various abnormalities either during application or over the years, such as deformities, pain, difficulty walking, generalized infection, pulmonary embolism, and even death.
