The family fled desperately, trying to save the life of a girl just over 1 year old. The child was bitten by a snake in Tamil Nadu, located in southern India, and did not resist during the journey to the hospital.
A girl named Dhanushka was bitten by a snake and her parents Vijay and Priya rushed to the government hospital for help. According to the Sangri Today portal, due to bad roads in the region, the girl died on the way.
As soon as the child was taken to the hospital, the doctors pronounced the girl dead and performed an autopsy. After the autopsy procedure, the body was transferred to the care of the parents.
Parents had to take snake-bitten daughter home
After this sad situation for the parents, the two were sent home by ambulance with the body of the girl. However, an ambulance driver dropped them off about 10 km from the village due to a bad road, and they had to walk for many hours with their dead daughter.
After the incident, the girl’s relatives stated that due to the poor road condition, there was a delay in getting to the hospital, resulting in the girl’s death.
In February this year, Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu MK Stalin wrote a letter to Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari about the poor condition of the road connecting Chennai and Ranipet. Stalin claimed that the condition of the road was so bad that he had to plan a trip to Vellore, Ranipet, Tirupattur and Tiruvannamalai by train.
