Labornatus do Brasil has suspended the sale of nutritional supplements by Anvisa (National Agency for Health Surveillance) after the agency identified “serious deficiencies in good manufacturing practice.” The information was published this Friday (21).
According to Agência Brasil, the measure was taken after the agency revealed violations at the company’s headquarters, located in Marataises (Spain). Anvisa mentions challenges in factory cleaning, pest control, potable water, raw material quality and safety control, physical design and documentation.
With the suspension, the production, sale, distribution and use of all food products produced by the company, in any batch, is temporarily prohibited.
Anvisa advises customers who have purchased the brand’s products not to consume them. Consumers should also contact the company for information about the recall.
The suspension of products will remain in effect until the company provides a solution to the problems presented by the health surveillance agency.
The ND+ portal contacted the company, but did not receive a response until the article was closed. Agency Agência Brasil also reported that it had requested the position from the manufacturer, but received no response. The space remains open for refinement.
