To get an answer, GIRO ND interviewed this Wednesday (22) Emergency Department Coordinator at Jesser Amarante Faria Children’s Hospital, Dr. Deini Almeida Ramos.
The long wait in the sector caused concern and anxiety among parents and guardians. In some cases, the service took up to seven hours.
According to the doctor, head of the emergency department, an increase in demand for medical care was expected due to the seasonality of the time of year, for example, the start of classes and problems with respiratory and gastrointestinal viruses.
As for the staff of emergency medical workers, the hospital guarantees that it works in full.
The waiting time for help at the Children’s Hospital in recent days is approximately one hour.
