The number of dengue cases in Coqueiros, on the Florianopolis mainland, jumped from 28 March 8 to 74 this Thursday, according to the Metropolitan Epidemiological Surveillance (16). The increase in the area with the highest number of cases in the capital is 164%.

So far this Thursday, 249 Florianopolis residents have been diagnosed with dengue fever. The 34-year-old woman, who lives in the Trindade area, did not resist the disease. 16 people remain in hospitals.

Itacorubi is the second district with the highest number of detected cases, with 14 diagnoses reported in the district in the center of Santa Catarina Island. They are followed by Abrao (12 cases), Monte Cristo (12 cases), Daniela (11), Centro (8) and Capoeiras (7). Other areas reported 5 cases or less.

The city of Florianopolis reported last week that the scenario is an epidemic of the disease. “The number of cases already exceeds the same period in 2022, which was already the year of the epidemic,” Roszdravnadzor emphasized at the time.

CCZ (Centre for Zoonosis Control) applies insecticides, places insecticides in areas with the highest incidence of Aedes aegypti mosquitoes, and advises residents on basic care to keep mosquitoes from breeding.

The incidence in the state has increased by 30%.

Dive/SC (Surveillance Council) identified 401 new cases of dengue fever in the state in just one week, according to a new epidemiological bulletin on the disease released this Thursday (16).

The number of notifications this year has grown from 1330 to 1731 – an increase of 30%. The ballot takes into account data registered before March 11. According to the agency, the scenario points to “an increase in cases in the coming days.”

Compared to the previous week’s update, which takes into account data recorded up to the last quarter, the new bulletin shows an increase of 2,917 new Aedes aegypti mosquito outbreaks – an increase of 17.3%. There are 20,046 sources in total: for example, tires, barrels, water tanks.

In total, 145 municipalities in Santa Catarina are affected by dengue infection, and Daiwa details are 21.9% more than in the same period last year, when 119 cities were affected. The number remains the same as the previous week.

The municipalities with the highest rates of dengue fever – in terms of population – are: Palosa (817 cases and a rate of 345.22), São João do Oeste (6 cases and a rate of 95.44), Coronel. Freita (7 cases and 67.94), Joinville (330 cases and 53.4).
