After two years, online registration for the first pregnancy course at Santa Isabel Hospital is open. The event will be held in person on February 14, 15 and 16 at 19:00 with the participation of 20 pregnant women and their companions.
Trainings for pregnant women have been held for over 10 years and help moms and dads cope with the process of pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. The course is offered by the Santa Isabel Hospital, organized and taught by the medical professionals and clinical staff of Maternidade Bertha Louise.
Enrollment is open on the Santa Isabel Hospital website and will run until February 10th. The registration fee is 250.00 reais.
In the face-to-face format, the course offers three days of classes in bathing, hygiene, dressing and changing diapers. “We are also talking about choking, pediatric consultations in the postpartum period, when it is indicated and after what time,” says Leticia Lamberti, Nurse Coordinator of Maternidade Bertha Louise.
The information also covers home care, immunizations, bathing the newborn, dressing and cleaning the umbilical cord, changing diapers and using a bandage, breastfeeding, and supportive care.
