This Wednesday afternoon (25) the Minister of Health of Santa Catarina, Carmen Zanotto, took part in the meeting of the Conass (National Council of Secretaries of Health) held in Brasilia. Minister of Health Nicia Trindade was also present.

At the meeting, Zanotto stated that he would need to resolve two urgent requirements: the national nursing floor and the Santa Catarina surgery queue. There are currently 105,000 records of requests for surgeries of all kinds in the government’s healthcare regulatory system. In addition, 117 thousand people are waiting for specialized consultations and procedures.

Before the members of the Council, she asked the Minister to pay attention to these two topics: “The problems in my condition are similar to yours, especially with regard to the queues for operations. But I also need to talk about the medical floor. Creating a group will help and we need a ministry,” said Carmen Zanotto.

AT Instagram, the secretary confirmed the request from the floor of the nurses. “I have made a special appeal to Minister of Health Nicia Trindade to make it possible to regulate the minimum wage for nurses as soon as possible,” he wrote.

At the meeting, Health Minister Nicia Trindade presented goals for the next 100 days of government, where she stated that she needed to respond to the population with work. “Our priority is to strengthen the SUS, and federal cooperation is essential,” the minister assured.

Among the measures discussed at the meeting were vaccinations, the reopening of a popular pharmacy, and the improvement of primary and secondary health care.

The Conassa Assembly brought together ministers of health and representatives from all states. There were several technical discussions between the participants on the schedule.

The presence of the Minister of Health raises expectations of the release of funds from the federal government, provided for in the PEC transition to the states. In addition, she stated that they are working with emergency actions and structuring actions. She also asked for the partnership and support of all secretaries.
