The first report analyzed the performance levels of these eight very challenging hospitals in the AM, while the second looked at patient satisfaction; the third examined data related to the waiting lists faced by citizens depending on their autonomous community and center. they go to.

The worst-performing communities are Aragon and Catalonia with 151 days to wait for an intervention, followed by the Canary Islands with 144 days. These three regions, together with Castile-La Mancha, are the four communities with the largest population waiting in line for more than six months.

In terms of consultations, the Madrid region ranks third in time to see a specialist after the Basque Country and the Balearic Islands, with a waiting time of 51 days according to the latest data available, which is the national average of this volume of 79 days. For diagnostic and therapeutic tests, the average waiting time at the AM was 61 days. The worst autonomy on the list is Andalusia with waiting lists up to 107 days, followed by the Canary Islands with 101 days.

El Jimenez Diaz, the hospital with fewer expectations

There are discrepancies in eight hospitals in the Community of Madrid. According to data updated to October 2022, the Jiménez Diaz Foundation is the center with the lowest waiting times among patients for surgery, with an average waiting time of 14 days, almost fifty less than the average for CAM.

In second place was La Paz University Hospital with an average wait time of 61 days, still below the community average. In the complex, located in the Fuencarral El Pardo area, 6,700 patients are on the waiting list for surgical care, with general pediatric surgery the largest attendance with over a thousand patients.

Universitario de La Princesa is in the “top three” with an average waiting time of 70 days for surgeries, making it the third highest complexity hospital with fewer waiting lists in the region. In particular, 3,100 patients were expected at the center in October.
