The seventh episode of the aDiversa podcast reminds women of an important campaign: Pink October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The program discusses the causes of the disease, types of treatment and, through moving accounts, discusses the importance of a support network in the recovery process.
The episode features journalist and businesswoman Gisele Machado, who faced a very aggressive type of breast cancer and recovered after one year and two months of treatment. Agenor Medeiros the Younger also gives a personal account of the treatment his companion undergoes for illness.
The podcast also features the perspective of Mastologist Clarissa Amaral and Women’s Cancer Network Volunteer Maria Delicia Moritz, who works in Florianopolis.
