This Saturday (20) Santa Catarina will host D-Day to mobilize campaigns for polio vaccination and multi-vaccination of children and adolescents under 15 years of age.
On this day, the municipalities of Santa Catarina will take part in a large working group to update the vaccination book with the opening of posts during the day.
Dive Immunization Manager (Directorate of Epidemiological Surveillance) Ariely Schiessl Fialho notes that D-Day is a great opportunity, especially for those parents and guardians who find it difficult to get their children to posts during the week.
“We know that many people work during the hours when the stations are open. So D-Day is an opportunity to update your children’s notebooks,” emphasizes the manager.
Promotions will last until September 9th. The posts offer 17 vaccines that protect against more than 20 diseases.
partial balance
According to the partial balance made during the first week of the campaigns and published last Monday (15), 47,814 children and adolescents aged 0-14 have updated their vaccination books. Of these, 17,210 children under the age of 1 and 1 were vaccinated.
A new balance sheet with updated data for D-Day and the second week of campaigns will be released next Monday (22).

For children under one year of age, vaccination should be given according to the vaccination situation established for the main calendar, 1st dose at 2 months, 2nd dose at 4 months and 3rd dose at 6 months with VIP vaccine. Estimated audience – 488,948 children aged 0 to 4 years.

During the Campaign, children and teenagers can also be vaccinated against Covid-19.
