According to the epidemiological bulletin published this Sunday (9) by the Brazilian Ministry of Health, 21,963 new cases of Covid-19 have been reported in 24 hours. The total number of cases in the country is 32,896,464 people.
The document states that 56 people died during this period. The total number of deaths from the disease is 673,610 people. There are 3,233 deaths from severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) under investigation.

According to the fact sheet, Santa Catarina ranks 6th among the federal subjects in terms of the number of infected people, with 1,809,745 people. In terms of deaths, the state ranks 9th with 22,095 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
The bulletin also shows that the number of active cases has dropped slightly, while the number of recoveries has increased slightly. At the moment, 94.8%% of the total number of infected people are considered asymptomatic. The total number of active and observed cases is 1,041,788.

The states with the most deaths from covid-19 are led by Sao Paulo (171,569), Rio de Janeiro (74,288), Minas Gerais (62,347), Parana (44,030) and Rio Grande do Sul (40,184). The subjects of the Federation with the lowest death tolls are Akko (2007 people), Amapa (2141 people), Roraima (2153 people), Tocantins (4169 people) and Sergipe (6370 people).

The Ministry of Health’s vaccinometer indicates that 454,264,544 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in the country so far. Of these, 177.5 million as the first dose, 158 million as the second and 4.9 million as a single dose. A total of 96.9 million people have already received a booster dose, and 12.3 million people have received a second additional dose or fourth dose. The group also lists 4.3 million doses as “extra”.
