Goldrather not bronze, or rather not a mixture of both: this manicure from Marion Cotillard worn to the 2023 Oscars after-party, which we still can’t forget a week later. For her Tom Bachik, the celebrity manicurist and nail artist, has created a tribute to the actress’ nail figurine in the sexiest and most chic way, as he himself explained on Instagram. The idea was to create a contrast with her all-black Chanel romper by using shimmery and metallic finishes while still maintaining an understated elegance. On the other hand, Marion Cotillard always has a very refined and sophisticated style, no frills, in short, typically French, with a few touches of color.
The result is very chic and, most importantly, not too flashy. Credit for choosing this metallic color of antique gold, but not chromed or mirrored, very discreet and, above all, very trendy.
How to make a golden manicure Marion Cotillard
Bachik, as he often does, shared on Instagram the steps involved in creating this manicure, apparently using only Chanel products. He always starts with deep hydration, blending hand creams and oils, distributing them as he massages them to better penetrate the skin and keep skin and cuticles soft. Then he goes to the nails 90% alcohol solution to remove residue and make sure they are perfectly clean so that the nail polish stays on better. As a base, she applied a thin layer of LA Base Camèlia, which smoothes and levels the surface, preparing it for painting. And here comes the point where Clair De Lune applied twice to intensify the color and to finish it all off she used Le Top Coat Simmering Amber, which with its bronze color and glitter, gave this shimmery and luxurious nail coverage that really made difference in manicure. It all ends with a L’Huile Camèlia application, specially designed to hydrate and strengthen nails and cuticles for a perfect finish.
