Alan Ritchson doesn’t want to star in Marvel films, ‘regurgitating stories seen thousands of times’

After a long career in television Alan Ritchson became a rising movie star – only in recent years has he managed to get roles in such major films as Fast and Furious 10 and the upcoming Guy Ritchie film, Ministry of Ungentlemanly War. However, he doesn’t seem interested in participating in the production Marvel Studios.
Ritchson recently spoke with GQ Magazine, where he told a little Reacherhis plans for the future and what he No interested in creating – in this case, films from Marvel:
“Like everyone else, I yawn when Marvel movies repeat comic book stories we’ve seen thousands of times, because that’s the only way studios think they can make money. I want to be the solution, I want to do something about it. So I use all my privileges to create new and exciting stories. This is my mission.”
However, it’s worth noting that Ritchson isn’t an unknown name in superhero movies. He was already in Smallville: The Adventures of Superboywhere did he play Aquamanand most recently was part of the cast Titanswhere he gave life Production. Moreover, in recent interviews the actor has already made it clear that he would like to play Batman in Novy DKU V James Gunn.
Regarding his role in SmallvilleRitchson explained the reasons why he was chosen from more than 3,000 people who auditioned for the role Arthur Curry:
“I was the only guy out of 3,000 people who took part in the test who didn’t show some kind of pretense. I just went with those instincts to sound natural. He’s a superhero, but he’s also a regular guy.”
