The film editor almost got into trouble with the police!
Screening in cinemas Saw It’s a triumphant return for the franchise. The film takes place between the first two films of the saga. John Kramer travels to Mexico in search of cancer treatment until he realizes it’s all just a scam. Then Serial killer The sadist of all times creates traps and instruments of torture to catch those who deceived him.
The film was very well received by specialized critics and has already won the title of the best continuation of the saga. Deadly games. However, a curious behind-the-scenes story led to police intervention.
In an interview with NMEdirector Kevin Greutert revealed an anecdote about the film’s production. According to him, the film editor, Steve Fornwas editing the film at home when his neighbors became alarmed by cries of torture, even to the point of calling emergency services:
“There was a knock on the door. We have a camera at the entrance, and we saw the police arrive. [Forn] opened the door and the cops said, “The neighbors called and said that someone was tortured to death here,” and he said, “Well, actually, I’m working on a movie… You can come in and have a look.” this if you want.
According to Greutert, when the police figured out the situation, they laughed and gently declined the editor’s offer to watch part of the film.
As is customary in the franchise, Saw includes several scenes of torture, mutilation and carnage – there is a particularly harrowing rope trap scene and another involving tubes connected to the victim’s eyes, which was already revealed in trailers and film posters.
Until now, Saw has already become one of the biggest horror hits of the year. With an estimated budget of US$13 million, the film has already paid for itself and is already turning a profit. US$29.3 million on the first weekend. Director’s film Kevin Greutert includes names such as Tobin Bell, Shawnee Smith, Sinneve Makodi Lund This Steve Brand.
