With her deadpan smile and impeccable attitude, Kate Middleton now she’s an expert at not showing any emotion. But this does not mean that behind the façade of regal good manners there is no chagrin, anger, pain or discomfort. The news of the Queen’s death had just arrived, the next of kin had gathered at Windsor, and the moment was difficult in itself. However, to further complicate things, the decision was made for Harry and William to come out with their wives to greet the crowd that had gathered at the gate. Discomfort added to the pain: Kate seemed to have to muster all her inner strength to manage to appear unemotional.. Later, Catherine admitted to the royal elder that there was such hostility between the two couples that a joint walk it was one of the hardest things he ever had to do” says Jobson in the new book.
We all remember that moment: the photographs were scattered all over the world, giving rise to the most disparate theories. Many, seeing two brothers dressed in mourning together, thought that the pain for the loss of a grandmother could be a good reason to bring them closer. Others scrutinized body language to try and see more than serious, deadpan faces. “When all four turned to each other at the end of the walk, both Meghan and Kate bit their lips rather than smile at each other and their husbands,” she explained. Sun Body language expert Judy James: “Kate pulled away so hard that William reached out to pull her towards Harry and Meghan for the final pose.” The signals were already there, now the confirmation has come.
