The new episodes pick up exactly where the story left off (watch for spoilers if you haven’t finished watching the series, don’t read on), i.e. with a tragic accident in Geneva. We then find Carlo running to the hospital in desperation; Paolo is in shock and Diego, who has to solve the case of a psychopathic lover-stalker. In all this there is also the revelation of the Abbattista brothers and the now revealed secret of their mother Alba Ristuccia, who is now disliked by all her children. “The explosive charge in the last episode was so powerful that it was impossible to defuse all the bombs,” explains Muccino. At this point, however, the question spontaneously arises: in all this obsession with family dysfunctions, how much of Muccino’s personal experience? Is this thematic “ball” of yours some kind of attempt at catharsis, exorcism from personal quarrels? Misunderstandings with his brother are actually infamous: Gabriel AND Silvio Muccino are (unfortunately) at odds. So we asked him, and the director answered directly and sincerely: “I started making films because as a teenager I stuttered and wanted to tell the world who I am. From that moment on, I never stopped making films to convey what I wanted to say. about myself Every film had such a function: sometimes some were better, others worse. Also because it depends on how much freedom you have,” he explains. However, the director assures: “The more chaos there is in your life, the more creative the process of building narrative structures will be, because you have the opportunity to explore the human soul in all its folds, even those that you would never go for. waiting to be scanned. Among other things, for Muccino, his reference to the film shining: “This is a movie I’ve seen countless times because it’s about a dysfunctional family where one goes crazy and kills…or at least tries to! talk!” (laughs, ed.).

Having said that, however, for Muccino the engine of the family remains Love: “this is his connective tissue,” he assures, “because of which conflicts arise. If there were no love – love, without which we cannot do and which we cannot forget even then, to be only apathy. Family ties are actually “internal, tribal, it’s no coincidence that literature is full of dysfunctional families, unhappy men, double lives and people who want to disappear to return to another life, like Fu Mattia Pascal.”

Therefore, expect eight episodes full of flaws, tantrums, fights and, of course, love.
