The dismissal of Marta Riesko from the production company Unicorn Content caused a lot of talk and one of those who was not afraid to express her opinion on this issue was Cristina Porta., who is none other than the one with whom he had a notorious on-air run-in and who caused more trouble for the now former reporter. For this reason, the employee expressed her point of view on Mediaset’s decision to fire the journalist.
Porta expressed his opinion about the dismissal of his colleague in an interview with the digital newspaper Objective: “Workers should fight for the network, not just for the production company. I believe that Unicorn did what it thought about the chain it runs on.. You have to have the utmost respect for the network and I think they made a decision based on that.” As expected, the Sálvame employee defended the network she operates on.
In addition, she emphasized that the workers must fully respect the environment in which they work, as for her it is part of professionalism, although she does not indicate this in the contract: “It is true that Unicorn cares about its employees and discretion is not required when you sign a contract, they don’t ask for it, but If you’re a professional, you already know that you can’t compromise a production company.“.
In the interview, she also talked about the famous clash they had on live TV in February 2023. “It was a very intense moment for me, I have never experienced anything like this, and I have been a reporter for many years. It happened and I found it, it was provoked, I didn’t expect it“, – confirmed the employee, who also added: “I felt that my work complicates my life, because I did not cause anything.
“It wasn’t a war”
Likewise, he wanted to make it clear that she had nothing to do with Riesco: “I don’t know Marta personally, it wasn’t a war, but I wouldn’t have done what she did”. In addition, he questioned the work of his partner: “She interrupted my connection because of something personal, took it personally when she worked. She didn’t put her job first at the time.” For his part, he believes that what the production company did is not a punishment for Riesco: “I think that the policy of the production company requires other things.” However, he is surprised that the dismissal has happened now: “If you attack the chain all the time, then they would do the same to me if I always fight the chain.”
